A Study on Nominal Bond Strength and Resistance Factor for Concrete Filled Steel Tubes Based on Database of Experimental Test

ABSTRACT:The current code requires that the shear connectors should be provided, based on the distribution of the design value of longitudinal shear, where this exceeds the design shear strength. The load and the resistances specified by KBC 2016 are based on probabilistic concept. In this study, the nominal strength and the resistance factor of shear strength for the concrete filled steel tube was studied considering statistical characteristic analyzed from database of experimental data.
