Application Study by Results from FEM Analysis on A Unique Composite Joint of Prefabricated Beam for Top-Down Construction

ABSTRACT: Since Columns for top-down construction are founded into deep and small bored hole, almost prefounded columns have variable construction-tolerances which can not be measured before excavation. Therefore, it is very difficult to connect prefabricated beams to prefounded columns at each floor level after excavation by usual top- down connection method. This paper present a unique composite joint for connecting prefabricated beam to prefounded column having variable tolerances and results from FE-calculation of composite joint to verify efficiency for practical application. |
