A Study on Bond Strength between Concrete and Steel in Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Column Based on Database

ABSTRACT：The longitudinal loads applied to concrete filled composite columns shall be transferred between the steel and concrete.When the external force is applied either to the steel section or to the concrete infill, the transfer of force from the steel section to the concrete core is required from direct bond interaction, shear connection or direct bearing. The bond strengths by direct bond interaction of theses three force transfer mechanisms are all different from each code. In this paper, the proper bond strengths based on database collected from various test results by local or oversea researchers, are proposed. |
